Laura has been practicing yoga for the better part of half her life.  She began integrating yoga into her routine after graduating from high school and being heavily involved in athletics.  Always one to add intensity to her training, she found a DVD that offered Vinyasa style classes to the soundtrack of house music, giving her inspiration to develop her practice further, since it married two of her passions; movement and sound.  While living in Chicago, Laura decided it was time to get certified as an instructor at CorePower Yoga to counter her demanding day-to-day job in event production.  After taking a series of trainings, Laura ditched her daily grind all-together and began teaching while converting to freelance design.  Her path eventually led her out west, where she knew she would have the support and familiarity of the CPY community.

Moving across the country and not knowing anyone can be daunting, but CorePower Yoga was a welcoming place to land. Teaching yoga has opened some incredible doors in her life, as well as helped her to get through times of uncertainty.  She has learned that a room filled with yogis looking to you to lead them through a class is exactly what you need when you are feeling less than whole. Laura’s students have become her most important teachers, and she counts on them just as much as they count on her.

Laura is the Studio Manager of the CorePower Yoga Mission Valley Location.
