Alicia has a passion for sharing the love of yoga with those around her. By focusing on breathing she can obtain clarity throughout her mind, then the poses follow. She builds classes for all levels, encourages new movement to beginners and further exploration of the body to regular practitioners. So you can let go of judgments and welcome movement into your body.
Alicia stumbled upon her journey of yoga seven years ago and she did fall in love with the way it made her feel mentally. Three years ago she completed her RYT-200 (now ERYT-200) training at Pilgrimage of the Heart Yoga Studio.
Her goal as a yoga teacher is to leave students feeling inspired and uplifted in their practice and their life. Yoga has made such a huge impact on her life, not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well, and she wants to share that transformational gift with others.
Her students refer to her as a Hatha sensei who delivers pure karmic realignment for the mind and the body. Alicia starts her classes “zen” but finishes “muscular” with ALWAYS 100% flawless transitions in between, and perfectly synchronized breathing.
Currently Alicia teaches in various studios in Chula Vista and Santee and teaches or co-teaches special events (Dub Yoga at The World Beat Center, 108 Sun Salutations, etc.).
